Anstatt mir für das neue Jahr ein brandneues Filofax zu kaufen, habe ich mich dazu entschlossen, mein altes Domino Patent in A5 einem kompletten Makeover zu unterziehen. Was einst pink war, ist nun kupferfarben und weiß marmoriert. Ich bin absolut zufrieden mit dem Resultat und wenn es dir auch gefällt, dann schau dir einfach das heutige Video an, in dem ich dir ganz genau zeige, wie ich meinem Filofax diesen Facelift verpasst habe.
Products I used for this makeover:
First I cleaned my Filofax and took measurements from all sides. Then I sprayed it with a primer spray for plastic, so the next layer of copper spray would stick better to the plastic. However, even though I added at least ten layers of the copper spray, the effect wasn't as visible as I would have liked for it to be.
So once it had dried, I painted the entire inner part of the Filofax with an acrylic paint. For a litte sparkle, I dabbed lose bronze powder, which I blended with water, onto the metal.
The next day I applied the self-adhesive marble foil and covered up any remaining pink spots around the edges with the acrylic paint.
I did paint the pink rubber band as well, however, the paint is flaking off. Therefore I recommend using a fabric paint instead of an acrylic paint for this step. I will do this too the upcoming days. You'll be able to see the result in my Filofax Setup video for 2016, which I am currently still working on.

Zunächst habe ich das Filofax abgeputzt und anschließend alle Maße genommen. Das Grundierungsspray habe ich verwendet, damit die Farbe des Kupfersprays nachher besser anhaftet. Obwohl ich mein Filofax bestimmt an die zehn mal eingesprüht habe, war der Effekt allerdings kaum bemerkbar.
Nachdem also alles getrocknet war, habe ich das Filofax einfach mit Acrylfarbe eingepinselt und nochmals über Nacht trocknen lassen. Für einen schönen Glitzereffekt habe ich das lose Bronze-Pulver mit etwas Wasser vermengt und mit einem Schwamm auf das Metall aufgetupft.
Am nächsten Tag habe ich dann die Marmorfolie aufgeklebt und anschließend nochmals die Ränder mit Acrylfarbe ausgebessert.
Das pinke Gummiband habe ich zwar auch mit Acrylfarbe bepinselt, allerdings bröselt hier die Farbe etwas ab. Insofern denke ich, dass es besser ist, hierfür eine Textilfarbe zu verwenden. Ich werde dies die kommende Tage auch ausprobieren. Das Resultat könnt ihr dann spätestens in meinem Filofax Setup Video für 2016 sehen.
