Dank des Beauty-Versands Bema durfte ich zwei Make-Up-Produkte der Marke Sleek MakeUp testen. Dieser Hersteller kommt vollkommen ohne Tierversuche aus, was mich natürlich riesig freut! Im heutigen Beitrag gibt es somit eine ausführliche Review über das Sleek Face Contour Kit und die Matte Me Lip Cream.
According to their website, Sleek does not conduct any animal tests. In a statement, answering a fellow blogger's letter, they confirm that none of their suppliers test their ingredients on animals either. They also say, they do not sell their products in China. Face Contour Kit (in Medium 885)
The Sleek Face Contour Kit holds a pressed contouring powder and a highlighter in a smooth looking black case with a big mirror.
The highlighter on the other hand is not as pigmented. It offers a slight golden shimmer, but I had to dip my brush multiple times into the pan, until I got the result I wanted. In my opinion, it does a fairly decent job with highlighting the cheek bones and nose bridge, but for the inner corner of my eye or on the brow bone I want something that stands out a little more.
I am also not much of a fan of the scent, but since this is more of an accent product rather than a full face foundation, I do not mind. The heavy advantage this product has compared to the high-end competition is clearly its price: For € 8.50 you cannot go wrong.
I am definitely impressed by the quality of the contouring color, it goes on smooth, looks natural and lasts long – therefore I can wholeheartedly recommend it, even if the highlighter isn't to die for.
Matte Me Ultra Smooth matte lip cream (in Birthday Suit 436)
The Sleek Matte Me lip cream is a pretty impressive product. Though I don't like the applicator that much (somewhat stiff, holds the product unevenly), I am amazed by the texture transformation this lip product performs once applied. It goes on like a smooth lip gloss, but once it has dried, it becomes completely matte.
Furthermore, it lasts very well, even through eating and drinking and it does not settle into small lines or cracks on the lip. The color is true to what you see on the outside of the packaging. The scent is barely noticeable and not perfumed.
I think the shade Birthday Suit is the ideal color to add that special something to your natural lip color whilst making your lips look fuller in a unobtrusive way, therefore it is the ideal daytime lip color. One coat is enough with this € 7.00 matte lip gloss and therefore it will last you quite some time.

Laut den Angaben auf ihrer Website führt Sleek selbst keine Tierversuche durch. In einer Stellungnahme auf einen Brief einer Blogger-Kollegin bestätigt Sleek, dass auch ihre Zulieferer ihre Inhaltsstoffe nicht an Tieren testen. Face Contour Kit (Medium 885)
Mein persönliches Highlight ist bei diesem Produkt nicht der Highlighter selbst, sondern das Contouring Powder. Es ist stark pigmentiert, matt und hat einen schlichten Braunton, der weder ins Orange oder Rot abdriftet. Glitzer oder Schimmer findet man hier nicht. All diese Eigenschaften machen dieses Produkt perfekt zum Konturieren und obwohl ich sehr helle Haut habe, finde ich, dass mir der Farbton Medium sehr gut steht.
Der Highlighter demgegenüber ist weniger gut pigmentiert. Er erzeugt einen leichten Goldschimmer auf der Haut, doch dafür muss man den Pinsel schon sehr oft in die Palette tauchen. Auf den Wangenknochen und auf dem Nasenrücken kann man so relativ gute Resultate erzielen, für den inneren Augenwinkel oder gar auf dem Augenbrauenknochen ist mir der Effekt aber zu dezent.
Den Geruch empfinde ich als zu stark parfümiert, allerdings setzt man mit diesem Produkt nur Akzente und verwendet es nicht auf dem gesamten Gesicht wie eine Foundation, von daher finde ich dieses Manko weniger störend. Der große Pluspunkt gegenüber der Konkurrenz ist natürlich der Preis: Mit 8,50 € (UVP) kann man nun wirklich nicht viel falsch machen.
Ich bin wirklich hin und weg von der Qualität der Conturing Puders; es ist leicht aufzutragen, sieht natürlich aus und hält stundenlang – insofern eine klare Kaufempfehlung meinerseits, selbst wenn der Highlighter nicht wirklich überzeugt.
Matte Me Ultra Smooth Matte Lip Cream (Birthday Suit 436)
Darüber hinaus hält das Produkt Stunden, selbst wenn man isst oder trinkt und es bleibt nicht in feinen Linien hängen. Aufgetragen entspricht die Farbe auch genau dem, was man anhand der Verpackung vermutet. Der Geruch ist kaum bemerkbar und nicht parfümiert.
Meiner Ansicht nach ist die Farbe Birthday Suit der perfekte Ton, um den Lippen das gewisse Etwas zu verleihen und sie dabei ganz unaufdringlich etwas voller aussehen zu lassen. Damit ist sie perfekt für den Alltag geeignet. Der 7,00 € günstige Matte Me kommt mit nur einer einzigen Applikation aus und sollte dementsprechend auch sehr lange halten.
