A lot of pet food brands advertise the nutritional value of their product, the freshness and how it will make your pet strong and healthy.
However, what they put in there will only do one thing: Make your pet addicted to their brand.
Viele Hersteller von Tierfutter werben mit den Nährwert ihres Produkts, der Frische und wie das Futter dein Haustier angeblich gesund und stark machen wird.
Was sie tatsächlich in die Dosen mischen, hat aber nur einen Zweck: Dein Haustier soll süchtig nach ihrer Marke werden.
I'm not joking. The main purpose of some of the things manufacturers put in their food, is to make your pet crave their food – and only theirs.
Read the lables, how much percent of meat is in your pet's food? Some brands put as little as 4 percent of real meat in there. And that meat is of poor qualitiy. It's basically the waste that's not fit for human consumption. They add a little flavouring, sugar and other ingredients that will make it smell and taste delicious for your cat.
Das ist mein völliger Ernst. Das Hauptziel einiger Tierfutterhersteller ist es, dein Tier abhängig von ihrem Produkt zu machen, damit sie letztendlich nur noch ihre Marke fressen.
Ließ dir einmal die Inhaltsstoffe auf der Dose durch. Wie viel Prozent der Zutaten sind reines Fleisch? Einige Marke beinhalten lediglich 4 Prozent Fleisch. Und das Bisschen hat auch noch eine schlechte Qualität, weil es einfach nur Abfälle sind, die nicht für den menschlichen Verzehr geeignet sind. Dazu kommen Geschmacksverstärker, Zucker und andere Zusatzstoffe, damit das Futter für dein Haustier lecker riecht und schmeckt.

So what should be the ingredients for healthy cat food?
The major part of you pet's food should be meat, only about 5 percent of grain products and NO sugar.
The protein amount should be at least 50 percent. However, cat's need animal protein, NOT plant protein, so look out for that.
Make sure that the amount of fat is below 30 percent. Cat food should also contian taurine, an organic acid that's essentail for your cat and needs to be supplyed through its diet. Try to ensure that your cat get about 200 mg of taurine everyday.
Woraus sollte gesundes Katzenfutter bestehen?
Der Hauptbestandteil des Futters sollte Fleisch sein, dazu kommen ungefähr 5 Prozent pflanzliche Bestandteile. Es darf absolut KEIN Zucker enthalten sein. Der Proteingehalt sollte bei mindestens 50 Prozent liegen. Allerdings solltest du beachten, dass Katzen tierisches Protein und kein pflanzliches Protein benötigen.
Der Fettgehalt des Futters darf 30 Prozent nicht überschreiten. Außerdem sollte Katzenfutter Taurin enthalten. Das ist eine organische Säure, die essentiell für Katzen ist und nur über die Nahrung aufgenommen werden kann. Pro Tag braucht deine Katze ca. 200 mg Taurin.
Clarence eats 2 cans of almo nature cat food everyday, along with some Royal Canin dry food for maine coon cats. His wet food contains 99 percent meat and stock and only 1 percent of rice. His dry food contains additives like vitamins and the taurine I mentioned.
Clarence isst jeden Tag 2 Dosen almo nature Nassfutter und dazu etwas Royal Canin Trockenfutter für Maine Coon Katzen. Das Dosenfutter besteht zu 99 Prozent aus Fleisch und Fleischbrühe und nur einem Prozent Reis. Sein Trockenfutter enthält Zusatzstoffe wie Vitamine und das bereits erwähnte Taurin.
